skin tag

this thing is driving me nuts. what should i do?

a) cut it off and cauterize the wound myself.
b) call now and make an appointment for some time several months from now, by which time I'll have been poking and prodding the thing to the point of nearly ripping it off anyway, or
c) bite it off.

  1. That's disgusting. Seriously. Don't do anything to it yourself. Where is that, even?

  2. I went to the dermatologist today to have a mole checked. Not 15 minutes after I arrived, he was cutting that thing right off of me. It's a very quick and painless process. But it did take me 6 months to get the appointment...can you make it that long???

  3. i know it looks really gross, but it's actually barely noticeable IRL. It's in the crook of my elbow on my left arm. That is an extreme close-up that I took today because I had gotten so irritated with the thing. Why?? I have no idea. It doesn't itch, it's barely noticeable. I think I just hate it because it looks weird. Oh, and I think it's a wart rather than a tag. Based on some later research I did. Which also convinced me to make an appointment. Now I just have to wait until OCTOBER to get it cut off of me. UGH.

  4. I was terrified that that was somehow inside of your mouth. And yeah, I'm suprised that you can't just go to a dermatologist and them slice it right off. It doesn't take much. Weird

  5. What's a tag? And if it's a wart, can you put wart remover stuff on it to get rid of it rather than waiting 6 months? It looks like it would be too annoying to wait that long.

  6. I feel slightly bad now for complaining about it and especially for posting such a huge photo of it. I was looking around for something to compare the size to and I can't find anything. So I'll say it's about the size of the little nub at the end of a bobby pin. It's so tiny, I shouldn't even care. And Rachel, I will show you a real skin tag on my shoulder that I named "Polly". This thing probably isn't a tag for reasons that are probably more clear when you know what a skin tag looks like. mmm, dermatology lessons. :)
