Close to 40

Not me. The price to fill my gas tank. $38.84, to be exact. This is probably far less than most of you are already paying, but I drive a Chevy Cavalier, for pete's sake. It only holds 13 gallons, total. I suspect that the next time I fill up, I will hit the $40 mark.

  1. wow. I am shocked that your cavy holds more gas than my cr-v.

  2. i suspect the cr-v gets about the same mileage. Maybe better. I'm guessing i'm at 18-20 mpg. That's based on some trials i did a few years ago. However, the cavy is paid for, so by my calculations, in order to make a 30mpg model break even, i'd have to find one that's around $800. Yes, that's eight hundred dollars. I do think that's a yearly amount, so if i found another 10-year car, I could splurge and pay $8Gs.

  3. now that i drive about 3.5 miles round trip for work (as opposed to the 70 miles a day i was doing), it doesn't affect me quite as much. still, it's about $1.50 too expensive. bastards.
