happiness is...

hiring someone else to do some of the work.one of my army boys is strapped for cash so i made him an offer to work off this month's rent by doing a bunch of different tasks around the house.he was going to help with the post holes (and he still may), but he hurt his foot and couldn't dig anything this week, so i had him work on the abandoned kitchen demo.i'm hopin he'll help me move a few heavy things before he leaves for the weekend so i can do the demo work on the dining room side.and the opening in the wall showed that my waste stacks might need to be replaced because they are both cracked.ah, home improvement. i'm hoping this guy will want to continue our arrangement in future months because i'd love to put in the patio and refinish the floors this fall, too.
