Cry for Help

I know I’m hideously behind on updating ANYTHING to the blog, but on the off chance that anyone is still checking this thing, I really need help with the following two things:

 

1. I moved my light-colored sofa up to the living room, so now I need to find a cheap chair, quickly, that meets the following requirements: big enough for Magnus to lounge in, old enough that it doesn’t matter that it’s his, cheap (like $10-20, maybe), and not infested with pests of any kind. Sidebar: I asked one of the ARMY boyz if I could buy his orange chair that’s in the basement, but he said it’s his gramma’s and he has to give it back to her. To which, I wanted to respond, well, take it the EF back then, this isn’t the G-D self-storage center. But I refrained. Oddly, I saw an almost-identical chair out on the curb yesterday morning while we were on out walk. It would have been the perfect find, but ever since hearing about the active bedbug problem in Norwood and surrounding areas, I haven’t been taking things off the curb unless they are strictly for the outdoors.
2. I took Justin to the vaccum doctor yesterday and his prognosis is good, but his recovery will be slow. In other words, he needs a new brush roller, and it will take at least 2 weeks for the guy to get the part in. The upshot is that this is covered under warranty. The downside is that I really need to vacuum before Friday and none of my other vacuums are going to cut it. Can someone either loan me a vacuum, or if you don’t trust me not to break your vacuum, come over and vacuum with me? I can’t begin to explain how badly the rugs need it, so any help with this would be appreciated.

 

K, gotta run – it’s nutz around the house and at work these days and I’m trying to keep all these plates spinning at once…
