I know most folks already have various plans for the weekend, including trips out of town and othersuch. However, I am in desperate need of some laboring help. Magnus needs an outdoor run in the worst way. He has a tie-out right now, but he HATES it, and I want to be able to leave him outside (weather permitting) while I am at work. It seems better than being in his little crate all day. So, I have plans to build one stretch of fence in a strategic location of the backyard that’s already fenced on 3 sides. The project will basically be: digging approximately 10 post holes using a clamshell digger and possibly a 2-man auger; putting crushed gravel in the bottom of the holes, placing the poles, making sure they are plumb, and backfilling with hard-packed dirt; painting the fence parts; nailing the “stringers” – the horizontal bars between the poles; cutting the pickets; nailing the pickets to the stringers; and hanging the gate. I am hoping to get the bulk of this done over the long weekend, but I could really use some help. Please let me know if you can stop by to help, even if it’s just for an hour or two, or if you can help with picking up materials, which is another area where I’ll also need help. Know that your assistance will help a Great Doggie have an even happier home!!

Sorry, I'm going to be in the northern part of the state.
ReplyDeleteDoood. I am either going to be gone or hosting company for the entire weekend. I wish I could help.
ReplyDeleteI bet Magnus does like the crate, although being outside of course is preferable. :-) Frank loves his crate and runs and JUMPS in every time he thinks we are getting ready to leave in the morning. I guess it helps that he gets a little treat when he goes in by himself.
