the rumours of my LOST addiction are false. Obsession, perhaps. But addiction, well that's just silly.
I have been working since last Thursday to get caught up. Which means, watch every episode, because I am that far behind. I have been watching 8 episodes a day since Saturday. I still have 8 more from S2, so I won't be watching the premiere tonight. No spoilers, please. I'll be watching the premiere online on Thursday. Then, I'll finally be a real boy! Just like Pinocchio.

EIGHT EPISODES A DAY?
ReplyDeletehang on.
EIGHT EPISODES A DAY!!??!
OH, TO BE A LOST VIRGIN AGAIN AND SEE THEM ALL FOR THE FIRST TIME. AND ALL IN A ROW, SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO REMEMBER THE PLOT FROM WEEK TO WEEK. sigh. I must say, i'm jealous, e-doe, quite jealous.
Enjoy. Waiting an entire week is really rough after you are used to watching multiple episodes at a time...
PANIC. its 10.46 pm. Our VCR failed us. WHAT DO I DO? NO LOST = HELL.
ReplyDeleteI am SURE that someone you know taped or Tivo'd or DVR'd it. You just have to go on a quest, start sending mass emails, etc to find it. I thought it was really good and I have never even seen Lost before and have no idea what most of them were talking about. It was actually really creepy!
ReplyDeleteDID YOU SEE THE PREMIER? a nuclear bomb fell on the island, effectively killing everyone except for larry, that guy that everyone kind of likes, but has just sort of been lingering in the background of most of the episodes.
ReplyDeleteanyway, after the nuke hits, larry finds an underground bunker on the island where he hides out for forty-seven days. it was a fast acting nuke and the radiation has dissipated pretty fast. when larry comes out, all of his counterparts have turned into mutant zombies, intent on eating his flesh and brains. (even lisa, the girl he developed a fast friendship with right after the plane crashed.) anyway, larry has a helluva time trying to get rid of his former counterparts, and he finds it gets more and more difficult as the days go by. he offs three of the zombies (carl, nicky, and brenda) but he can't bring himself to kill anyone else. they're chasing him over the island. . . .even lisa, for whom he somehow still has feelings. at the far end of the island he finds a blown out bunker, which (guessing by the beakers, bunsen burners, and graduated cylinders) used to be some sort of research lab. larry finds an old newspaper clipping taped to the wall which reports that the island has been a nuclear testing ground for years and that it will soon be evacuated because the tests are getting out of control. larry sleeps in the bunker and wakes to find benny, who has turned into a zombie, coming toward him. but benny has somehow bonded with the plant life and thick green vines are growing out of his chest, which also seem to be intent on eating larry's flesh. just when he thinks he's going to get away, the vines grab him and drag him off. he passes out and wakes up in another similar bunker, where there he is tied up and forced to watch episodes of gilligan's island and three's company on an old tv set. he hears voices, but doesn't know where they are coming from. then, from above, he hears another bomb falling, which shakes the whole building and causes him to break loose. he manages to escape and finds that all his peers are back to normal.
i can't wait until next week!!!
A. LOST IS AVAILABLE ONLINE TODAY AT ABC.com, so everyone...calm down.
ReplyDeleteB. Erin's, um, obsession caused ME to watch the premier, despite the combined 90 minutes I have watched prior.
C. I'm glad I didn't call you, Erin, when I was totally confused, because we might not have been able to talk anymore.
D. The previous post...AWESOME!
So glad you finally got into it.
